Avijit Mukherjee, com sua imaginação vívida, usa o simbolismo como ferramenta de expressão artística. Suas obras têm forte base no desenho, utilizando elementos diversos para transmitir sentimentos e filosofias aprendidas nas lutas da vida. Em “Os Olhos”, o contorno de uma cabeça é preenchido por múltiplos olhos voltados em diferentes direções — símbolo da natureza humana de observar e absorver o entorno. No centro de todos esses olhares, um vaso de duas camadas permanece enraizado, coletando nossas percepções e filtrando-as segundo a vontade consciente ou inconsciente. A coluna vertebral, colocada acima de todos esses processos, simboliza a discrição e a integridade — metáforas das virtudes que nos conduzem ao bem-estar coletivo.

Avijit Mukherjee, with his vivid imagination, uses symbolism as a tool for expressing through art. His works are strongly based on drawing, utilising diverse elements to transmit his feelings and philosophies learnt from life’s struggles. In “the Eye’s”, the outline of a head is filled with multiple eyes looking at different directions, symbolising the human nature of observation and absorption of our surroundings. In the middle of all the gazes, the two layered pot is rooted still, collecting our inputs and filtering with our conscious or subconscious will. The vertebrae are placed above all these human processes as symbols of discretion. Spine is used as a metaphor of our integrity that leads us to keep up virtues for the wellbeing of our world.
