Sempre me fascinou a maneira como diferentes culturas dão forma física ao conceito de justiça. Divindades como Shani Dev, os Dharmapalas e Quetzacoatl são todos agentes intensos e ativos da justiça. A Dama da Justiça, uma criação ocidental, empunha uma balança e uma espada. Quando pensamos em justiça, ela pode parecer algo intangível, um sentimento de equidade, e ainda assim pode ser uma força poderosa — e terrível — necessária para manter o equilíbrio. Esta imagem é uma construção que funde e combina diversas representações físicas da justiça em uma só.

I have been intrigued by the way various cultures have physical embodiments of the concept of justice. Deities such as Shani Dev, Dharmapalas, and Quetzacoatl, are all fierce and active bringers of justice. Lady Justice, a western construct, wields scales and a sword. When we think of justice, it can be an intangible thing, a sense of equity, and yet it can be a powerful and horrible thing that is necessary to maintain balance. This image is a construct that combines and melds the various physical concepts of justice into one.
